Dev log 13
This week we started board games which is super dope. I went on and designed a cave mining game which had a cave durability meter as the game over sign, and loads of ores and combos of ores like sushi go. I would be using a similar system to Catan in that the resources you would mine would be given to you as cards, and I used the Scrabble strategy of when you mine instead of flipping over a tile you pill a tile out of a specific bag depending on the zone you are in. We also looked at a constellation matching game where you are in an observatory and you are trying to discover constellations and match them together with rotating rings on the outside that every player is able to shift. This Thursday I was absent as a close person to me got a brain tumor and I was out of town seeing them. I was notified though that I am a part of the game art team and crafting materials as well as game balancing and systems. I enjoy art and since we are making a board I want to make a really dope physical copy of this game. We will have to see where all of this goes.
